OUR 15TH YEAR

This year Surfivor Esmoriz is opening March 31 and celebrating its 15th Birthday. Surfivor Surf Camp started out in 2004 with a few tents on the beach in Cortegaça and over the past 15 years it has evolved and grown. Surfivor now occupies two stunning beach front locations in Esmoriz plus one additional waterfront Surf Hostel in Porto. But what we are most proud of is our Surfivor Family. Thank you to everyone who’s taken part in the Surfivor experience over the years. For all you Surfivors, and those we haven’t met yet, we are looking forward to surfing with you in 2019.

NEW BEACH HOUSE

If all goes to plan our renovated Beach House will be open for the High Season 2019. The Beach House features Private Ensuites with ocean views. Step out the front door and straight onto the sand dunes.

SAME OLD FAMILY VIBE

Does double the house mean double the people? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Shout it from the rooftops, Surfivor is not doubling in size. Adding on this new location was an opportunity we could not turn down. What this means for our Surfivor Family is simply, more space and more comfort. So don’t get your bikinis twisted, Surfivor will not become one of those overbooked Surf Camps where you have to wait in line to shower, and wait your turn for your surf board. Esmoriz Beach will not be overrun with hundreds of foamies and surf schools battling for space.

We will continue to offer our tried and tested Weekly Surf Camp Package. This means a Welcome BBQ for all our staff and guests every Monday. This means free bicycles and skateboards available. A guided Porto Tour with Port Wine Tasting. Dedicated Surf Coaching and small groups. Yoga by local professionals available for everyone during the summer. Excellent local recommendations from our friendly members of staff for both beginner and intermediate surfers. And all the information you need on special events in Esmoriz, restaurants, Surf Meet Ups at Uncle Joe’s and all the best parts of visiting an authentic Portuguese community. So, let’s get this summer started…

Our classic Surf Camp since 2004! Perfect for travelers seeking quality beachfront accommodation nestled by the shore and surrounded by nature. Learn how to surf at one of the best surf spots in Europe with zero crowds, empty beaches and a family atmosphere. Our Esmoriz Surf Hostel is open from April until October and offers lessons for beginners and intermediates.

We are located in the small fishing village of Esmoriz – just 25km south of Porto. Esmoriz is an amazing surfing area with beautiful, long, sandy beaches. You will find quality waves which are suitable for every level of surfing.

You are guaranteed to meet other friendly people who share a true passion for surfing and the ocean. As if that wasn’t enough: Our Camp in Esmoriz is just a stone’s throw (20m) away from the beach. Only a quick stroll and you can get wet or simply spread out on the sand! From our new ocean view suites and cozy roof terrace you can also admire the sea and the amazing sunset.
