April – October : 7 months
May – September : 5 months
June – September : 3 months
Job Essentials
- Enjoys working with Groups of people and creating a positive Learning atmosphere
- Teaching or instructing Experience is necessary
- Experienced Surfing skills & Ocean knowledge
- Fit, Healthy & enjoy working in the water in all kinds of weather conditions
- Commitment to ensure Safe surfing experience
- Strong Teamwork ethics
- Excellent Communication & Presentation skills
- Demonstrate Motivation & Enthusiasm
- Hold current First Aid certificate
- At least a Level 1 Surf Coaching certificate by ISA
Theory Lesson Esmoriz
Job Responsibilities
Your main task is to teach our weekly surf course from Monday to Saturday. Beside the surf lessons it is also expected from you to do some activities with the guests like theory lessons and practical exercises. Apart from that we also ask the coaches to take guests on city tours and dinners out (you don’t pay for dinner) and help with small tasks at the surf school and hostel. It is roughly a 40 – 45h week and Sundays are your free day.

Pay Package
In addition to a monthly wage, you have available accommodation in a Shared Room with other 3 – 4 teamers. It’s a spacious room across the garden opposite to the Surf House which we have been renovating this winter.
Our Surf House is located on the beach! You’ll be in the best possible location in town to surf. We will provide a wetsuit and you are welcome to use our surfboards, bikes and skateboards when the guests aren’t using them.
Breakfast is included as well as the Monday BBQ. For the rest of the meals you have the Surf Camp kitchen available 24h. There is free WiFi all over the camp area and of course we will give you all the necessary support.

You will be working with a team mixed of locals and other foreigners. We are about 7 – 8 persons during high season. We’re welcoming, warm hearted and we love what we do! Our working style is laid back on the surface, but behind the scenes we work hard and always as a strong team. You’ll be part of the family: we take care of each other and help one another if needed.
