VIAGEM MEDIEVAL

The 22nd Medieval Journey in Santa Maria da Feira will be held from August 1 – 12, 2018. The festival recreates the reign of Afonso IV, “O Bravo” (The Brave). Son of Dinis and Isabel of Aragon, Afonso IV had a life of much rebellion before ascending to the throne. “The Brave” ruled for 32 years (1325 – 1357), and strengthened and consolidated the power of the crown.

Every year Surfivor Esmoriz makes the pilgrimage to see the knights in armour, behold the fairest maidens, and drink and be merry with the unwashed hoards. Come join us!
